How does wind energy benefit us? What’s in it for me?
Well for example, in Texas in 2002 a 1000 megawatts of wind energy:
- Created 2,500 jobs
- Produced 777 million in taxable income
- Gave school districts over 11 million in tax payments
- Distributed 2.5 million in royalty payments to land owners
Hmm… sounds pretty good to me.
